In the latter half of 2021, we stumbled upon Grand Bazaar NYC, the oldest marketplace in New York City located on the Upper West Side. We were thrilled to discover that it was conveniently located close to our home at that time and immediately felt drawn to the vibrant community of artisans, sellers and shoppers. As we learned more about the bazaar's mission, we were humbled and inspired by their commitment to funding public schools and providing essential resources to over 2,000 children. As a purpose-driven brand that gives back part of our profits to children in need, we're humbled to be a part of a marketplace that shares our values. We felt excited to join the community immediately as sellers and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important cause while continuing to build our passion-to-purpose brand, INSPIRRE.
Our Experience
As a vendor at Grand Bazaar NYC, we've had an amazing experience that has allowed us to grow and thrive in ways we never thought possible. The feedback we received from both the bazaar's organizers and our customers has been instrumental in our growth. And the creativity, dedication, grit, and passion of other vendors have been a constant source of inspiration for us.
One of the most rewarding aspects of our time at Grand Bazaar NYC has been the opportunity to serve a diverse range of individuals. From locals to tourists, regular shoppers to new, we've had the pleasure of connecting with countless individuals who have shared with us their personal stories and experiences. Through these interactions, we've been reminded of the power of art and clothing to connect people and bring communities together.
Creating Meaningful Connections
We've had the honor of creating meaningful moments with our customers, from someone shedding tears as she recalled someone she recently lost while looking through our art prints, to someone getting the perfect shirt for her sister fighting cancer, to someone who just moved to New York and is ready to face brand new challenges in life, and to customers who are at the happiest moments of their life. We also have regular customers who purchase tees for their children, as well as those seeking unique and meaningful gifts for their loved ones. These interactions have reminded us that beyond the visual and aesthetics of our products, the story and meaning behind them matter most and will be remembered.
In addition to connecting with our customers, being a vendor at Grand Bazaar NYC has also given us the opportunity to meet other local artists and entrepreneurs who have become great friends and a source of inspiration for us. It’s been exciting to see a mix of new and long-time sellers at the bazaar. Some vendors have been a part of the community for over 20 years, while others are newer to the scene. Through these connections, we've been able to share ideas and inspirations while building a strong community of creatives. We've learned from others and grown our small-business in ways we never thought possible.
Overall, our experience as a vendor at Grand Bazaar NYC has been incredibly rewarding. We're grateful for the opportunity to share our crafts with others and to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community.
